Celebrex Side Effects Lawyers

Masry & Vititoe has been successfully representing seriously injured clients for decades, and has recovered for them the monetary compensation that they deserve for their injuries. Our dangerous drug attorneys have the experience and knowledge to represent our clients in the most challenging personal injury cases. If you have taken Celebrex and experienced any serious side effects, including cardiovascular problems, heart attack, or stroke, you might have a claim against the drug manufacturer for your injuries.

Important information for Celebrex users: If you are currently taking the prescription drug Celebrex you should be aware that the medication has been linked to dangerous cardiovascular side effects, including strokes and heart attacks. It is recommended that you seek medical attention immediately if you have suffered any side effects.

Since its approval by the FDA in 1998, over 27 million patients have taken the prescription drug Celebrex (Celecoxib). This non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug is used to treat painful medical conditions such as osteoarthritis, arthritis, and adult rheumatoid arthritis.

Recent clinical studies of Celebrex have shown that the drug can cause an increased chance for patients to suffer from heart attacks, strokes, and other cardiovascular side effects if taken in high doses.

If you take, or have taken, Celebrex and have experienced any of the following symptoms, you should call or visit your physician immediately:

  • High blood pressure
  • Jaundice
  • Kidney problems
  • Lethargy
  • Tarry stool
  • Unexplained weight gain
  • Unusual consistency of vomit

Although Celebrex has not been recalled, the drug’s manufacturer, Pfizer, has been urged to change the label to indicate the risks involved with the medication, including drug interactions.

Celebrex is a Cox-2 inhibitor (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory). The drug is similar to Vioxx which was voluntarily withdrawn from the market in September due to its link to increased heart attack and stroke, and Bextra which has also been withdrawn from the market because it may pose serious cardiovascular side effects as well.

If you or a loved one has suffered serious Celebrex related side effects, please contact a Celebrex lawyer today at Masry & Vititoe.
