Children's Tylenol Recall Lawyers Children's Tylenol is acetaminophen which has long been a standard remedy for fever and pain in children that is readily available without a prescription. The FDA has published a a recall. The recall of infant and children’s liquid products is due to manufacturing deficiencies which may affect the quality, purity or potency of their products. The products whose use is discontunued are listed here:Deficient manufacturing practices at the plant involved in the recent recall of infant and children's Tylenol, Motrin, Zyrtec, and Benadryl products may be responsible for bacterial contamination of raw materials in the recall. The recall involves 43 child and infant liquid formulations of Tylenol, Motrin, Zyrtec, and Benadryl. Consumers should not use these products. Some of the products included in the recall may contain a higher concentration of active ingredient than specified; others contain inactive ingredients that may not meet internal testing requirements; and others may contain tiny particles. The FDA advises consumers who have purchased these recalled products to discontinue their use. A 17-page FDA inspection report conducted in late April detailed quality and security lapses at the Fort Washington, PA-based facility, which is owned by Johnson & Johnson's McNeil PPC drug manufacturing division. The agency said it is considering a wide range of actions including possible criminal penalties. References
