California Clinipad Products Injury LawyersIn March 2000, there was a major recall of all of the allegedly sterile medical products put out by the Clinipad Corporation because of contamination with various types of dangerous bacteria. The products were pads, dressing, towelettes, swabs, and pouches. They were labeled as containing iodine, benzoin, and alcohol. Various supplier names were on these products, including Clinipad, Cliniguard, EX Prep, Cooper, and Moore. Often these products were provided to patients by hospitals and clinics. The company had been aware of the problem for a period of time before the recall. After the recall, their plant in North Carolina was shut down and they were forced out of business.
