After FDA action, Enbrel's newest label has been expanded to warn physicians to monitor for tuberculosis before and during Enbrel treatment because Enbrel users have been found to develop TB. Enbrel, categorized as a biologic response modifier, an anti-TNF drug, is prescribed for rheumatoid arthritis, plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
